How we keep categories useful

Spot & Find treats categories as editorial guides, not loose keywords. Each category should describe places someone can actually visit, evaluate and add to a route. That keeps the map practical: a category page explains what the theme means, which subcategories belong to it and when a place should use a different label instead.

Editorial guidelines

  • Every category needs a clear visit purpose, such as movement, views, rest, learning or practical route planning.
  • Subcategories are useful only when they help visitors choose the right kind of place faster.
  • We avoid vague archive pages: examples, criteria and context should explain why a spot is valuable.
